I'm came to blogger because it was an assigment. I'm really surprised to find many people doing it just for the sake of doing it. I wonder what drives people to post blogs. ..............................................Is it to express freedom of speech , is it because there is no one who listens to you or is it because you don't often say what you want to say?

I used to think the same about girls who write diaries! But the online version is like a diary which "talks" back. Bloggers also "meet" the sort of people who they might not have an opportunity to meet in the offline world.
For many it is also a place of moral support, finding comfort and answers when faced with challenging situations, eg parent with Alzheimer's or child with severe autism. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a vigorous support network.
